About Lesson
The basic accounting equation says that the assets of a company equal its liability plus equity, i.e.
Assets = Liabilities + Equity |
Thus, the assets of a company can either be financed using liabilities or equity.
The funds so obtained on the issue of equity may be used for the purchase of assets, research and development, purchase of investments, expansion of business, etc.
